MOURINHO IS BACK! Real Madrid STUN Barcelona 2-1 At The Camp Nou In El Clasico!
Real Madrid just crashed Barcelona’s unbeaten run - and the tactical choices that made it happen might say even more about the title race than the scoreline. Marco and Antonio break down a chaotic El Clasico where the stats screamed Barça, but the result told a very different story.
With Barcelona dominating possession and piling up shots, the conversation gets into how Real Madrid still found a way to win 2-1 through discipline, counter-attacks, and standout performances from Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, and a huge last-minute fill-in from Lunin. They also dig into the right-side rotation question, Valverde’s unexpected role at fullback, and why Barcelona may have more to worry about from the structure of the loss than the loss itself.
We break down:
- Why Real Madrid’s game plan was more ruthless than pretty
- How Lunin stepped in and delivered in a massive spot
- The impact of Valverde, Camavinga, and Guler in reshaping Madrid’s shape
- Why Mbappe’s 100th goal for Real Madrid changes the conversation around his season
- What Barcelona’s attack did right, and where it still came up short
Then the episode shifts into the bigger soap opera of the week: Manchester United. After a brutal loss to Bournemouth, the guys go straight at the deeper question behind the chaos - is the manager really the problem, or is the squad simply broken? They get into Bruno Fernandes’ criticism, the fan reaction at Old Trafford, the possibility of a sack, and whether any new coach could actually fix this without a major rebuild.

Marco: if I didn't watch it, Anto, and I just look at the stats, Barca dominated the possession. More shots,
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah. Yes.
Marco: more shots on targets, set pieces, just everything. I was up from that side looking at how did Barca lose this game?
Project 90 Soccer: insane amount of possession. It was like sixty-three percent. They had like three hundred
Marco: Mm-hmm.
Project 90 Soccer: more passes in Real Madrid today.
Marco: for me it was a tactical performance.
Project 90 Soccer: They said, fuck your record. They went in there and they gave him the business. Welcome to the Project 90 Soccer Podcast. My name is Antonio, and I'm here as always with El jefe Marco Antonio Munoz repping that Sacramento Republic Jersey. Shout out SAC Republic, our Nor Cal team. Marco, we saw some big games today, man. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man United. We're gonna touch on that towards the end here. But I wanna just ask you, man, how you doing this evening?
Marco: Anto, I'm great, but congratulations are in order because you my friend, El Padrino, the newest Godfather.
Project 90 Soccer: Right. Yep. New Godfather. I went into the church and it didn't burn down. So that's a dub in itself. Good weekend, man.
Marco: 1000%.
Project 90 Soccer: Good weekend. But Marco, look, I don't know how much of this game you saw. I'm assuming you did because we're talking about it. Okay. Real Madrid going to Barcelona. The camp new. Barcelona undefeated, unbeaten so far this season. And Real Madrid, you know what they said today? They said, fuck your record. Fuck how you feel. Fuck where we're at. We're gonna come in here and we're gonna give you the business. They went in there and they gave him the business. Okay. What did you think of this game?
Marco: Going into this game. I was like, know what? It's gonna be a barca victory, but it was a barca defeat the special one Joe Semorino is back in town in the company and it was a master class tactical wise performance Man this guy the moves he was making leading up to this game. They were all making sense from yo monday, I always mess up all these guys last names
Project 90 Soccer: Dio Monday.
Marco: The Oman day from him not gain any minutes is slowly creeping up in getting minutes the past month to be in a starter because Vinny was out due to injury from Federico Valverde. The questionable. Why are you putting him in the as a right back from Bruno Silva? Not getting any minutes to playing in a very important game. out of the Google.
Project 90 Soccer: Bernardo.
Marco: Leonardo. Yeah. I would say Bruno Silva. It's because I always have the other Bruno in my head. The other Portuguese. But
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah, telephone.
Marco: yeah, man, I watched the entire game. I watched it in mute like I usually do because I don't want to hear any commentary from the other teamsman. Yeah, man, it was a nice game. But if I didn't watch it, Anto, and I just look at the stats, Barca dominated the possession. More shots,
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah. Yes.
Marco: more shots on targets, set pieces, just everything.
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: Real Madrid was below on everything outside of the law and everything. the stat sheet. if I was up from that side looking at how did Barca lose this game? Right? So
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: but we'll get into it. I'm not sure if you caught the entire thing. What did you see? Because for me it was a tactical performance.
Project 90 Soccer: It was, man, and they they they they went in there and they just got the job done. Okay. Mourinho, you know him. He just goes in there, tries to get the win. However they do it, he just wants the win and they got the win. I think a notable shout out for Real Madrid today was Thibaut Curtois was ruled out. He got sick,
Marco: Yep.
Project 90 Soccer: he had the flu, so Lunin stepped in and he had a big game for Real Madrid.
Marco: Big, game.
Project 90 Soccer: after the game, first person that Mourinho walked up to was Lunin because You know, he had some big saves, right? He stepped up to the plate. It was sort of last minute and he took care of business the way he needed to. Obviously, Vinitius was out. I'm not sure if it was injury or suspension versus Villa Real,
Marco: suspension
Project 90 Soccer: one or the other, but he was out. Frill and Mendy, Rola Centa, Rodrigo still injured. Barcelona as well, though. Now they had Jules Kunde, Danny Olmo out, right? But what did we see today? Like you were saying, insane amount of possession. It was like sixty-three percent. possession. They had like six hundred and fifty pass, like three hundred
Marco: Mm-hmm.
Project 90 Soccer: more passes in Real Madrid today. in the Camp New at home. And you know, for Real Madrid you have to give credit to the big players, right? The big players came and the big players showed up. Jude Bellingham, Mbappe, Camavinga, Cukurea. Go ahead.
Marco: Did you see Jude Bellingham channel his in or sidon with that play that he may lead up to the second goal, which huge shout out to Kemba Vinga because any other guy would probably have would have left that ball like you know what they got it. I'm not even going to fight for it. So
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah. Yep.
Marco: huge shout out to Jude on that play and Kemba Vinga especially not letting him die. But before you go again, sorry to cut you off. I forgot to mention you reminded me right now, Kukoreya shut Lameen Yamal's game down. Such
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: a, such a good performance from a guy that who has been playing a lot like all these other guys that I mentioned earlier on, but you play around Madrid. You don't have to go in for a couple of games, but when you go in the expectation is you play like you play like you've been in rhythm and playing as a starter.
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah, no, he did amazing. And then we saw Valverde again, dude, in the back line. That's w it's odd, man. It's odd because it's one of those things maybe where, you know, Camavinga's been doing well, right? Camavinga, Chuamaney, all these guys. So
Marco: Yep, solid.
Project 90 Soccer: so he wants to use them all. So what do you typically see happen is what you're seeing right now, Valverde. You still want him on the field. He's got the quality. You still want him on the team in the starting lineup, but you gotta change his position. So do we see him now Playing as a right back going forward? Honestly, I don't know, but it seems to be working. for them to go in now and and end this streak for Barcelona. I mean, what better team than Real Madrid to go do it in Mourinho? First c L Classico back. but for Barcelona, I'd have to say this is a very disappointing loss for them. Very disappointing loss considering the start that they've had. Rafinha getting the goal, still, still their guy, it seems like he's still the guy
Marco: Yep. Yep.
Project 90 Soccer: g bagging all the goals for them. Laminha Mall, decent game. There's a chance where Gordon could have squared it, played it across. He didn't. There are a few chances on both sides, sort of like this, where more goals could have potentially happened, but it just didn't pan out that way. But in terms of Barcelona, I think they're gonna be very disappointed, quite honestly, with this result.
Marco: I mean, the opportunities were there. LeMine, he had a howler in the first half where like, how did you not even put that one on target? So he
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: didn't have the best game, obviously. But
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: going back to what I saying earlier, they had more shots on targets until when the second half started. It was attack, attack, attack on the Barcelona side. And I was like, here we go. Here's gonna come another goal. But it just didn't happen. And ultimately,
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: Ramon Jun was able to capitalize on on their opportunities, their counter-attack opportunities that they had. I also want to mention Anto with Valverde injured. He went out injured and they are bringing brought in Dumfries. Although it wasn't a lot of time, it's still enough time to work. He could have had, we could see if there was going to be a decent showing and it just the paradigm switch from Valverde
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: who's not even naturally in that position. And then you could see the loss of consistency on the right back once Dumfries came in so what that tells me, Anto, is we're gonna have a problem here if Valverde is out indefinitely and then we have to rely on on Trent Alexander-Arnold who came in a little later in the game and Dumfries going back and forth then Arnold he had a couple situations where he lost the ball very easy or he was slow to react so luckily he was in going into garbage time but yeah Anto if we do see Valverde he's he's touched up he's a little sensitive and he's out for a couple weeks. I think we have a little issue on the right back side because just
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: watching the game today, that's without Valverde, that's not their strongest suit right now. And I've been listening
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: to other conversations from other games and that's also the hot topic there that we don't see any consistency on who can hold down the fort there for the time being. So it will be a situation that only the special one will be able to handle because As you all saw, he put a guy who's not even right back in the right back position. hopefully something serious and hopefully comes back and because he's a very important piece. But I
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: also want to want to give credit to Artagular, man. I don't know if you're watching him.
Project 90 Soccer: Yes, I was just gonna bring that up after.
Marco: Brother, brother, brother, the way he was moving with the ball, touching the ball, sending these long passes, he's through passes. I was like, man, this kid is good. It was like watching
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: him like. This is a little bit too much, but I was watching him like fine wine, you know, he was just for such a young kid. He's so mature and he does not let the moment get to him. So very, very fortunate that he's playing for Los Blancos.
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah, he's a he's a big time player for them right now, and I think he's gonna be a big time player. I mean, he's really grown into his role, right? They picked him up when he was young. They had those those sort of that vision with him that he would be this player, and he's slowly turning into like a very important piece for Real Madrid. Prior seasons, he was always just a sub. Obviously, he was on the bench, he was training with the first team. But now it seems like he's starting Jose Mourinho's really leaning on him to be sort of a main piece in their attack. Obviously there's still Vini, he can come back. There's other players, but I think Goulaire, despite all that, and Endrick even and other players, I think that Goulaire is just class compared to these guys. I think I think give him another season, two seasons, he's really going to be one of the top players in Europe. He's already considered one of the top rising players, fair enough, right? Seeing what he's already doing. So yeah, I think Goulaire, he took a lot of shots from some awkward angles, too. I mean, he finds a way to just
Marco: and they were on target.
Project 90 Soccer: They were, man. He finds a way to just get some that just inch of space and just fire off a shot. So I mean, individually he's a beast, but he's also a good team player. Like he's a really good team player and you can see it when he plays with Real Madrid. Killing Mbappe, obviously getting the two goals today. The guy's just undeniably one of the best. We're gonna see now in the next coming I think it's this week, right? The Bologne door announcement. or well, I'm not really sure when the date is for that, but I know he's up there. It's gonna be between him and Harry Kane, I believe. So that'll be interesting to see. But like you were saying on the right back, man, you know, relying on Valverde, yeah.
Marco: Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
Project 90 Soccer: I'm not No, you think Ballon d'Or, when I think Ballon d'Or, I think top two, Harry Kane and Killing Mbappe. What do you think? You think Rodri?
Marco: World Cup, baby. It was a World Cup year. You know, they give it to the you know, they give it to the World Cup guys. Messi won it on a World Cup year. Pablo Carnavalo won it on a World Cup year. I don't know. I just don't. I we had this conversation before. We don't think he's going to get it. And if it's between them two at the end of the day, it is a newspaper type award. So it'll
Project 90 Soccer: Mm.
Marco: be up to the not even the pundits, but these these newspaper companies that we want to call them. on
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: who makes the final decision. But that's a separate conversation. What did you think
Project 90 Soccer: That's true.
Marco: about what did you think about Diomande? He held the fort.
Project 90 Soccer: he did, and he went down, I wanted to bring up, and it looked like he had a calf injury coming or something. And thank God he got up, you know. But
Marco: Yeah.
Project 90 Soccer: what I did notice was, you know, Vinny being out, he got the opportunity today. It's a big fucking game to be getting an opportunity like that. He had he had some good chances, dude. On the first goal with Mbappe, that that was like a terrible cross that he made, but he got lucky with the deflections that all happened in there.
Marco: Yep.
Project 90 Soccer: and then he had an opportunity where he tried to hit it near post with his left foot. I'm sorry, yeah, near post with his left foot and completely hit the side netting. He could have went across the goalie. So it's those little moments like that where if today, for instance, he cleans that up and yeah, they got the goal in the first one with some luck. But if the second one he buries it far post, I mean, he's really leaving no no reason for him not to be in the starting lineup, right? But today showed there's still a little, you know, some mistakes here and there. So Seeing Vinny coming back from suspension, I think he'll probably get the start again. but I
Marco: 100%.
Project 90 Soccer: think that's probably one of the most interesting starting positions on any team kind of battle right now is Diomonde and Vinny. I'm not too sure who I really prefer. I mean, who do you pick? Would you pick Vinny or Diomande currently as
Marco: If
Project 90 Soccer: we speak?
Marco: I would pick Vinny because
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: Diomande, he's having a good moment right now. He's having a good run, good stretch of games. But that to me doesn't tell me he needs to immediately start because also, like we mentioned in the last pod, yeah, Vinny's not scoring, but is Vinny costing his team right now? I can't say that he's costing his team. Same
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah, that's true.
Marco: thing I would say with an NFL with a quarterback. Is the team playing bad or is a quarterback costing their team, right? So before we make a decision, our quarterback, Let's look at everything else. And right now, Vini is not costing his team. And also Vini has played in the biggest moments in Champions League, domestic league, internationally. So, Diomande hasn't. unfortunately for him in this game, we didn't need to see that he needed any of that experience because he was able to have a good showing. And also Barca didn't have their best showing, right? So we can't really see if it was Diomande playing very well. or Barca not playing to what they're accustomed to playing. So I would still go with Vini because of the experience, the chemistry here he has with the other guys. And then he just go through a bad stretch right now, man. He's gonna pick it up and then he's gonna go back to scoring ways. All you need is one for you to get going. You touched on earlier on the pod about we just don't know what Mourinho is gonna do. And I was listening to his press conference, he's like, I don't have an A team, I don't have a B team. Just he's like just like I told Andy Lin Going to going into this game like hey You don't you don't train to sit on the bench you trained to play it 90 minute matches Same thing goes for the rest of the guys. Just because you're not getting in this week or the next week, you're still expected to train like as if you're playing 90 minute matches. So he said no A or B Squads, so I anticipate more rotations moving forward and definitely some takeaways from this game on who he's gonna rely on or who he's gonna keep in those certain spots.
Project 90 Soccer: Yes, could be the the turning point in Real Madrid season. Not that they've started off terribly, but they haven't been playing the best the best games, the best style, the best play. They haven't had the best matches, but they're still managing to get the wins and they're getting some big wins right now. Coming off of this Barcelona game now, it's gonna give them a lot of confidence, I think, going forward, especially in the second
Marco: They're in third place right now,
Project 90 Soccer: yeah, they're still I mean, so they're still, you know, they're still doing well. It's early in the season, so there's a lot a lot to look forward to still. And Shout out Mbappe. He also reached a hundred goals today for Real Madrid. 99th and 100th goal, which is kind of crazy, man. I feel like he just joined. Like honestly, it's already a hundred goals later. But yeah, man. First El Clasico of the season. Real Madrid winning. Two to one. Lived up to the expectations. Great game. Hanzi Flake's got some some things to think about, I would say. So we'll see what happens in the next time. The next yeah, what's up?
Marco: Shout out to Gubarci, right? He was put in some tough situations and he was still
Project 90 Soccer: Mm.
Marco: able to overcome them. you can say that he was probably involved in one or two of the goals, but I don't think so. He had a good showing. This 19 year old kid continues to prove why he deserves to be with Barcelona and be in that back line. Cause man, he plays his ass off.
Project 90 Soccer: Well yeah. Yeah, and overall it's like you get great strikers to come up against you and they're gonna win some of the battles, right? It's it's only it's only gonna it's gonna happen. No matter what defender you are, Maldini used to lose him, Ramos would lose him. All the great defenders in the world have always lost a battle here and there with a great striker. So the fact that he's only nineteen years old, I mean he's he's done it all already. He's won a World Cup, he's starting for Barcelona. I wouldn't be too concerned at all. But shout out to him, keep his head up. in Barcelona, you know, I think I think this is just just a bump in the road. It's not gonna change anything for them. So yeah, man. Great game. moving on though, Marco. We wanted to touch on something just this ongoing I don't even know what to call it, bro. Soap opera. What you want to call this? I'm just gonna hit you straight, dude. Is Michael Carrett gone tomorrow morning?
Marco: I think so, I was surprised that they kept them throughout the weekend. But maybe it was just to finish the week and ultimately this match would be the one that would let us know, let the higher ups know if they were going to release them. But to call it something, this call is a Titanic because the ship is sinking.
Project 90 Soccer: Ha ha.
Marco: And honestly, I don't know who's going to make it on that door. You know, I think the rest of the players are going to sink and someone's going to stay at the top. And that's the one. I don't know, it may be the owner only. Anto, it's bad. It's bad Anto. Bruno Fernandez,
Project 90 Soccer: That is hilarious. It's bad. Dude, Bruno Fernandez getting benched. Yeah.
Marco: getting benched. Obviously, Kerrig said no, it wasn't because of his comments, but let's keep it real, right? Maybe it wasn't his decision. Maybe it was a higher ups decision. But early on in the week, European tournament week, Europa and Champions League week, he was, he, He threw Kerrick under the bus until he's saying that it was because of his tactics X Y and Z. You just don't do that as a captain of the team. You just don't do that,
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: especially when you came in when Kerrick came in last year and he said, hey, Bruno, you're going to play your original spot. You're to play what you know how to play, which is that being that number freaking 10. And he balled his ass off without winning any trophies. You know, PFL player of the year type status and to just when stuff starts going bad, you throw him under the bench. You're the damn captain Bruno. You're
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: supposed to be speaking the same language as the coach in my opinion, right? If somebody asks you a question,
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: you guys need to be on the same page. And if you have those conversations afterwards, you can be like, hey man, I'm not agreeing with what's going on. And then you come together, but that tells you how much this is broken. That tells you how much everyone is out there looking out for themselves because I know man, it was a very, very bad showing against Bournsmith. Going back to what I said this last game, I'm not going to get fired up, but there's just no spine.
Project 90 Soccer: You can't
Marco: There's no spine on though. And kudos
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: don't want to take anything away from Bournemouth. They had such a good midweek match against AC Milan and they scraped the Red Devils in their own home at Old Trafford. You never want to lose. Yeah. Tyler
Project 90 Soccer: Shout out to Tyler Adams too, USA.
Marco: Adams, USA, maybe you never want to lose like that at home. But man. Right now anybody can beat you like I mentioned anybody and right now they're sitting 16th place in the
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: table. The fans, the fans were having it. They were screaming, yelling at the top of their lungs to the players. They're chanting about the ownership and one of the positive chances they had was they were saluting and chanting Michael Carrick. But all those chants in the world, Anto, is not going to save them because at the end of the day one had always has to roll. and it's always going to be the coach. shout out to Kerrick. I also listened to his press conference. He said, you know what? If they're going to release me, I'm going to support it because it's going to be the best decision and the best interest of the team. I'm always going to love this team and I always want their best interest. So fortunately, it's probably going to happen, and if it doesn't, again, I'll be very, very surprised.
Project 90 Soccer: I'll be very surprised too. And it's it's kind of a different reaction we're seeing from the fans right now where, you know, Michael Carrick is walking over to the stands, they're all applauding him, and the players come behind and they turn their backs on him. And, you know, in in the past, it's always been the manager questioning the manager, booing the manager, wanting the manager out, wanting the manager sacked. And now we saw Lisandro Martinez came out a couple weeks ago, and now we saw Bruno Fernandez come out. And you can see that it's really getting to a new low almost because now we're actually hearing from the players what pretty much everybody's been thinking, right? But I think the the even the fans are realizing like everybody's sort of starting to realize that it's the players. You can't just keep
Marco: They stink.
Project 90 Soccer: blame you cannot just keep blaming Michael Carrick. Like what you're gonna go look at Carrick and be like, why aren't your players playing good? And it's like, well, they're professional athletes, they're getting paid. They're at Manchester United. I mean, what what more do you want me to do besides try to put out the best lineup, train all week, get them out there, get them prepared, and then they go out and they do that and they lose 3-0 against Bournemouth at Old Trafford? I what do we do what is this? Sir Alex Ferguson's gonna
Marco: embarrassing.
Project 90 Soccer: never he's gonna stop going to a man United games. He's gonna fall out of love with the team, and that's almost impossible to do. But he's about to. Michael Carrick. Honestly, man, if he doesn't get fired, I'll be so shocked. But there's some there's a part of me that honestly believes they're not gonna fire him. And I don't know why. I don't know why. I think it's because of the fans. I think it's because of the feedback. But again, what I was saying last episode, when you get a club like Man United, they're they're going through such a shitty time. To show the fans that you're doing something or wanting to make a change, like the the the real only thing that they can do at this very moment is just fire the manager and get a new one. They they can't just start buying new players, right? They can't just
Marco: Which is not gonna work.
Project 90 Soccer: you can't you can't even do that though if they wanted to. Like there's no transfer market. You can't do that. So what do they typically do is fire the manager and get a new one. But it's like, what are
Marco: the end.
Project 90 Soccer: you gonna do? Who are you gonna who you're gonna fire and bring Antonio Conte in? What is Antonio Conte gonna do?
Marco: And the owners are never wrong, ever. So they're never gonna come
Project 90 Soccer: Right.
Marco: out and give face on the situation they have at hand. But to your point, if he doesn't get fired, which I think he will because there was conversations that there was talk with three managers on Thursday, which is
Project 90 Soccer: yeah.
Marco: why everybody thought that headed into Kerik's Friday press conference that it was gonna be that he was gonna be being let go or forcefully stepping down. But yeah,
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: Hanto, to your point, you can bring in a manager right now, they're still gonna have the same shitty squad. They're still going to have those same players that can say they're breaking their back out there, but they're just their play is not showing it. So to your point. They're going to fire him. We're going to be in the same situation. Owners are going to if this doesn't go with this next coach, fire that coach. And actually, no, I thought we're going to be like non of him for us was they're firing
Project 90 Soccer: Hm.
Marco: coaches, firing coaches every 10 days. So.
Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.
Marco: I don't know, I mean, if they are going to back him up and he does stick in, then they need to come out and say like, look, we're to go all in on the January transfer window. Bear with us these next couple of months. But that's not something that they're going to do. That's not something that Manchester United does. They typically just splash on guys and and present to them on presenting, present these guys to us. right now they're not splashing
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: on anything. The only thing they're splashing is on those puddles on the way home because it's always raining in London, in England.
Project 90 Soccer: man. So look, this is what I see. So they're gonna fire Carrick, right? Any new manager that's even even willing to even negotiate a job with Man United right now, they have to they have to be talking to ownership and being like, Look, I'll I'm open to taking this job, but in January, like we gotta go hard. We gotta ball out in the transfer market. And and if like Antonio Conte, for instance, is coming in I I highly doubt he's not talking to them saying, okay, I want full control. I want to choose who I want. All I need you to give me is a budget of who we can get, how much we could spend, whatever it is, because that's what they need. You look at their injury list, and it doesn't matter, right? People still talk about well, this person's out, that person's out. It doesn't fucking matter. When I see Benjamin Seshko play or Luke Shaw, Kobe Mino, Ugart, Ugarte, Dorgu, Marcus Rashford, even it doesn't matter if they're all back or not. This team still blows. They're not winning. Game set and match. Like that's the final verdict. Fire Carrick. Do whatever you want if you think that's going to do anything. January is what Man United fans have to be looking forward to now. And and just hope. Just hope that the next manager that they pick is a top manager with Premier League experience. I think Antonio Gonte is warming up to the position. Been hearing it. I heard there was no official contact made between Antonio Gonte Manchester United. But then again. Who knows, man, what they're gonna do, who they're gonna appoint. But bottom line, man, if they don't replace 75% of their team, right? Bruno Fernandez, I see him leaving. He's tired of this shit. He's done, dude. He's done.
Marco: deuces, deuces.
Project 90 Soccer: Harry McGuire's gotta go. Like these guys, they
Marco: Has to.
Project 90 Soccer: gotta go. This era of Man United, whatever you wanna call whatever this is, it's gotta end. Like done. You gotta rebuild. Lysandro Martinez, out. Like just get new you gotta start over. You have
Marco: he's for sure out. For sure.
Project 90 Soccer: to, dude. There's no way, bro. I'd be sick and tired. You're putting your your ass out there like like Bruno Fernandez the past six years, whatever it's been. And it's like this is how it ends, just in a in a crumbling, just a fire. Like Ronaldo coming back. It just ends in disaster. And it's like, come on, dude.
Marco: Hey, he predicted it when he was there. He's like, yeah, the next four years, I don't see this team competing. Yeah, maybe he was that was him sour because he was leaving or he was on the bench. he said himself back in 2019 that this team was not headed anywhere.
Project 90 Soccer: No, he said it, man. He's what he's one of the f he's one of the few to come out and actually say something too. But yeah. Go ahead.
Marco: Nah man, yeah, it's a disaster like I keep saying. So we
Project 90 Soccer: Mm-hmm.
Marco: will definitely see what's going on there. And it feels like every week we have something new and interesting to talk about with the Manchester United, man. So we're definitely not talking about victories.
Project 90 Soccer: Hottest story. Mm-mm. Definitely not talking about dubs around here with Man United. Anyway, Marco, we wanted to touch on those two games.
