And that's good news for Barcelona, right? Because it's always nice to have those extra players that you can count on. They obviously they have Lamin Yamall, right? Lot falls under his shoulders. Rafinha, all these other players in their attack, Danny Olmo as well. But to see Fermin Lopez also get in on it, contribute, I mean it's pretty deadly attack. We always talk about Real Madrid, right? But Barcelona, I'd say that, you know, they have a very respectable attack themselves.

Marco: paper, I would argue Barça has a better team on paper and on the field. So

We've seen Own tournament we've seen a lot of teams that aren't really playing for anything in their respective leagues, but in champions

Project 90 Soccer: Yeah, hat trick for Mbappe, which not really a shock. But again, like you're saying, Real Sociedad versus Real Madrid, you would expect a result like this, right? Anything other than a four one, a three zero, a victory for Real Madrid, the is not it's not up to the Real Madrid standards. So the result they got yesterday to me completely fits what Real Madrid should be doing. interestingly enough, though, I was looking at their starting lineup, right? Four two, three one for Mourinho. And in the back, in particular, Denzel Dumfries, new signing, Konate, new signing, Dean Houston, it's not a new signing, but still relatively new to Real Madrid. Alvaro Carreras. Okay. So what I'm getting to is here still no Cukuray on the starting lineup. Okay. And seeing the 4 2, the two holding players, Bernardo Silva, seeing him in a position that's not out on the wing. Sort of new for him. He's Mourinho going with him over, let's say Kamavinga, for instance, right?

Marco: Yeah.

Project 90 Soccer: And on top of the Cukuray on the bench, there's still this big name that is just never really established himself for Madrid, which is Trent Alexander Arnold. Right. So now this is almost turning into a team that has too much, too many players, right? And I could foresee a few of these players actually leaving maybe in January or at the end of the season, right? But seeing Mark Cucuray on the bench, do you think that's just temporary until he gets sort of up to the speed of Mourinho and Real Madrid and what they want? Do you think it's because maybe he took a break after the World Cup, he's still coming back to fitness? Or do you think that he's maybe just not earned his spot yet?

Marco: I mean you wouldn't pay all that money for that guy and and bring him to to Los Blancos just to sit on the bench. So maybe him not being full ninety minute match fits is playing a rope. But then again, who knows? Like we keep saying, the special one is a wild card. And if he sees you're better off coming off the bench, then that's that's what he's gonna do. But I think for the next couple of weeks he's gonna continue to play around with the starting XI. So I wouldn't be surprised if here in two or three weeks We finally start seeing Kukurela, Kukuraya, start these matches. But to touch

Marco: a little bit on Trent Alexander Arnold, that's one of those stories where this guy was forcing his way out and ultimately it just didn't pan out for him. we've we've seen this happen before in the past with other players. Marco: because I don't know, man, all these Liverpool guys, they scream at the top of their lungs. That they want to get out, they want to get out. Marco: And like a year later, you're unhappy. Like, what do you expect Atletico to do? To just lose out on all that money that they had guaranteed you or are gonna were gonna pay you? Nah. So imagine now you're stuck in that predicament. You're stuck at the team that you so clearly said you want to leave. He's already been under the under pressure from the fans, people booing him, sort of being, you know, pushed to the side in a sense from celebrating with the team and the fans and being part of Athletico. So it's just one of those things with Trent Alexander Arnold. I think he had it made at Liverpool. He was one of those guys he could have had quite literally his entire career at Liverpool, right? The fans loved him. He's a product of their academy. And he had won the Champions League, the Premier League. He was destined to really be there for to be the captain at some point, right? The full time captain, I would think, too. So for him to really push himself out the way he has now to Real Madrid, finding himself on the bench, he didn't go to the World Cup. I mean, it's not, it's not looking like a positive move at this point, right? And it seems to be the case with Real Madrid, though. Either you go there and you make it and you you you elevate your career, or you kind of do what's happening here now with Trent Alexander Arnold. And on the bench, even still, there's Brahim Diaz. There's Antonio Rudiger, who's a bit older now, which I see him maybe being Exactly, that's why

We have Inter Miami versus Montreal. It's Alexis Sanchez against Leo Messi, right? So former teammates, obviously, they were rivals in Gonebol, Chile and Argentina. So heads up for that game. We'll see how that goes. That's one I'm gonna be looking out for because I haven't seen Alexis Sanchez play in. Quite a while to be honest. And I just want to kind of look at this from the perspective of the Spanish teams, considering we did La Liga today. So overall there are thirty-six teams, eight opponents per team, four home games, four away games. Okay. The four Spanish teams in the Champions League, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Villa Real. Okay. Listen, there's some fucking banger like matchups right here. Okay. And this is obviously this is what the Champions League's all about. Real Madrid, they're four home four home games. Inter Milan. Just right out the gate. PSV Eindhoven, Red Bull Leipzig, L A S K, dude. Okay, which looking at those three, the two big games, or at least the one big game, Inter Milan, without a doubt. Okay. September 7th, September 8th, or September 9th, somewhere in there. some big games already, just right out the gate, which we you know there's always talk of the group of death or this or that or the matchups. but it's gonna be obviously exciting, exciting for the show. We have something to cover. I think an appropriate question to ask right now in terms of the Champions League is just flat out. No predictions of any of these games. We'll see how they play out. But my question to you, and I think everyone's probably thinking at this point, is is PSG Gonna win it for the third time in a row this year.

Marco: Gonna be very hard. It's hard enough to win it once. Winning it twice, winning it twice was amazing. But third time, I don't see it happening, man. everything needs to needs to align. And by everything I mean everything. The stars, the solar system, w whenever I have sex, all that stuff needs to align for you guys to win it.

Project 90 Soccer: For PSG it'd be a huge accomplishment. Obviously, winning it twice than it already is, winning it just once is a big achievement, right? Something they've been chasing for a very long time. And I think having won it twice, I think the hunger this year is gonna be even higher than the past two years when it comes to the Champions League, because they're trying to create, especially the owner, right? He's he's invested a lot. He's brought all the big names there. He's had the Neymars, the Messies, everybody you can think of. Coming through PSG, trying to win the Champions League. And finally he's got a recipe that works. I think if he does the triple, they're going to go for four. And they're going to go for five. And right now they're currently in this dynasty, right? And they need to squeeze every last drop out of it. I think that's what they're going for right now. And is it going to be easy? Absolutely not. I mean, you got Real Madrid that are that are trying to get their ass back into it. You obviously got Barcelona. You got Bunch of teams that can come in there. Inter Milan's been knocking on the door. Now you got Arsenal in the Premier League's looking dangerous, right? So it's gonna be hard.

Marco: They gotta they gotta stay healthy. And most importantly, any team can win it as

Marco: long as they stay healthy. And how much depth do they have in their bench? Right. So I don't

Project 90 Soccer: Yeah.

Marco: know, but speaking of PSG, I mean, and we're talking about Kukurella, Kukurella, maybe not being ninety percent I mean hundred percent fit for for ninety minutes. I mean Dembele recently, right? He's getting subbed out. Coach is saying that he's not fully fit 'cause he won, he took vacation, he's still getting his gears rolling in, but I mean there's another guy who is not getting consistent playing time right now.
